It is hard to grasp the intrinsic character of a people(european white immigrants turned into the collective modern white "american") - hard to grasp the nature of a society that could, would and did inflict so much inhumanity, cruelty, and death upon the over 500 sovereign nations of Native American peoples. Their "christians" among the worst of the barbaric offenders...
